We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineering Manager.

Business: Regional CIO - ASP

Principal responsibilities

  • Plan, mobilize and drive IT projects from idea, implementation to closure.
  • Work closely with Business, IT delivery partners and Transformation to deliver end to end IT solutions
  • Accountable to ensure the delivered projects/ solutions can meet the budget, timeline, and quality objectives in alignment with business strategy
  • Manage and report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to project or programme leadership and committees as appropriate and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization
  • Proactively overcoming obstacles to success, dealing with uncertainty and changing circumstances, such as interdependencies, opportunities or risks
  • Drive the adoption of HSBC project standards and work in alignment with HSBC project methodology
  • Ensure compliance with external regulatory requirements, internal control standards and Group compliance policy
  • Provide IT consultation to business, stay close and drive the new IT solutions and platfroms to fit for modern banking business, so as to support business growth.
  • Create and maintain a collaborative team environment in HTC, which supports and encourages the professionalism and development of teams
Requirements
  • Core banking domain knowledge, with HUB/AS400 project delivery and management experience, capable to identify and manage the risks.
  • Experience in ITSO area of work and responsibilities in HSBC group.
  • Experience of IT project management, stakeholder management, project planning, budgeting, risk management, change management
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, problem solving, communication & interpersonal skills and quality orientation
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and strong team player
  • Is able to efficiently manage multiple work streams when working under pressure
  • Capability to connect with external stakeholders, such as FinTech, to bring and drive the new IT solutions and platforms.
