The Reform Club is one of the most prestigious, and oldest, private members’ club in London and we are looking for an outgoing, proactive out of hours’ porter who wants a long-term role in a traditional and attractive building to join our Front Hall team on a permanent, part time basis covering weekend days and nights, alternating between day shifts (Saturday and Sunday 9am to 9pm; 24 hours per week) and night shifts (Friday 11pm to 9am Saturday; 9pm Saturday to 9am Sunday and Sunday 9pm to 7.30am Monday; 32.5 hours per week) week on, week off.
The Role
As key members of the Front of House team, the OoH weekend porters will have responsibility for the comfort and safety of all members and guests visiting the Clubhouse between the hours of 11pm on Friday and 7.30a.m. on Monday, when the Club is formally closed. The porter also supports colleagues in the hospitality team in ensuring the smooth running of member activities in the building, covering a wide range of tasks to support members, guests and staff including carrying luggage, setting up event spaces and clearing and cleaning the Club House.
The Weekend Hall Porter role comes with:
- Salary of up to £21,690 per year, including Tronc and bonus;

Requirements for the role:
- Fluent level of the English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to communicate confidently with individuals of all levels, including senior staff and Members of the Club (including VIPs)
- Confident and comfortable working alone.
- Physically fit and able to carry up to 25kg unaided
- Excellent grooming and presentation.
- Ability to remain calm and assured in the face of an emergency
- Previous experience in a similar position and/ or organisation preferred.
